Fight Little Girls Off

Our church does not have Wednesday night services, but we do have Wednesday night dinner. Various people in the church volunteer to cook one Wednesday night, and we enjoy a meal as a church family! It's great -- no cooking, no cleaning (unless you've volunteered), and good food & fellowship. The children's choir practices, and there is a "Sunday School" class offered -- At Home in Faith -- that mainly gears towards the parents of those little ones who are in choir.

Last week, we had planned to go. So before we left, I gave the boys a bath. They needed one. Little boys like to get dirty. The only time Ben's hair ever lies flat is after a bath. So he had really handsome hair, and Brian told him "you're so handsome you will need a stick to fight the little girls off."

Ben remembered that. Seth got it confused and said he needed a stick to fight the little children. We quickly corrected that statement.

Fast-forward to Saturday. My parents were taking the boys for 2 nights because Brian and I double booked ourselves at church on Sunday. We were both in charge of something. So we told my parents about Ben's needed stick, etc. That night they took the boys to a Halloween party at their church. Apparently there was a little girl, around 2-ish, who kept dragging Ben somewhere. He really did need a stick to fight that little girl off!

One of Seth's top molars (2 yr molars) is emerging. It makes him so pitiful. He is very clingy during this, and thankfully it will end when the teething is over. And other parents promise me it will end at some point. That is my light at the end of this tunnel. In the meantime, I have to rest while they nap. Lately they're just so needy they wear me out in the mornings. Which is evidenced by the state of our house!
