Last Thursday night the boys spent the night with their grandparents. When we went to drop them off, grandmother had the kiddie pool all ready, and so they went "swimming". Really they just step in and out of the pool and splash. Anyway, they like bubbles in their pool, so we put in some soap. Ben put the suds on his face, and then shaved his "beard" off! He said "no bea-d" (he doesn't pronounce R very well at this point)!

Ben has a Beard
Better late than never. Here are the yogurt pictures I promised, LAST week. Oh well. Such is the life with toddlers. The first two pictures are from last year. The last two are from this year.

Back from the Dark Ages
We are back! The cable & internet have been restored at our house, and we are thrilled. I can't tell you how exciting it is to watch NBC Olympics!
During our away time, the boys have shown me just how much they are growing up. Now they can eat yogurt all by themselves, without making a mess. I tried this, probably last year. It didn't go very well. I'll post pictures of it below.
Well after that, you can imagine I went back to mom feeding the yogurt. But lately they've been doing really well with their fork & spoons, so I decided to try it again. And what a difference a year makes!
Ben also knows some of his letters. I was wearing a Race for the Cure t-shirt a few days ago, and Ben pointed out all the E letters and the F. He did this all on his own.
More to come!
PS -- pictures are not posting through blogger right now. i'll try later today.

Conversations
Ben & Seth are starting to have conversations with each other.
This morning, when Seth woke up, I heard him whinning "Mommy, my paci......." which usually means he's knocked it out of his bed and needs me to find it/get him a new one. (I've not taken the paci away yet; quite honestly, I enjoy it's calming affects on him. We do generally limit it to nap/bedtimes, unless he's particularly whinny and I need to keep myself from harming him.)
Anyway, Seth wakes up wanting his paci. Then Ben tells Seth the paci is in his bed. Seth says it's not, Ben says it's on the floor -- they're having this conversation about the paci, in broken speech of course. They are only two years old. It was hilarious.
In other news, the boys are really enjoying watching the Olympics. We've been watching swimming a lot. They pay attention and get upset when swimming goes away (commercials or NBC pans to another event). Speaking of swimming, the mens 4x100 relay team won the gold medal last night (this morning, China time), and the 3rd swimmer was Cullen Jones who attended, and swam at, NCSU!!! GO PACK!!!

Little Boys Like to Have FUN!
The bottom picture is Ben turning circles on the floor in his "Aunt Cheri" clothes. They do this from time to time. I guess it's fun!
Have a great weekend!!
