Why Do I Need a Title?

Really, why a title?

It's been 2 weeks since the last post. What have we done in the last 2 weeks? You name it. Busy-ness has overwhelmed our house.

S has been sick for most of it. He's had an ear infection. We discovered it on a weekend and had to go to Urgent Care. The provider did not want to prescribe the usual medicine for S, and so of course it gave him an upset tummy, leading to all kinds of problems. So mid way through the medicine, I called our pediatrician. She immediately called in a prescription for our usual medicine. It's now been 15 days since any antibiotic was started, and it still hasn't cleared up. Yesterday the follow up visit put him on 5 more days of antibiotic. Fingers crossed it will work. Poor S. He's had such a tough time lately.

B's new favorite book is Noah's Ark. He loves to point out Noah and say "Noaaaaa" or "Nona". One of the pictures has an octopus, and both have been trying to say that word.

I've been back and forth to Raleigh, trying to get some work done on a project, so the boys have spent some time with their grandparents. What fun they have had!

We have also been working on the boys going to sleep on their own. We've rocked them to sleep for 20 months (minus one month I tried this last year, and it was a disaster). It's actually going really well, with a few exceptions. Their room is very bright during the day, so I bought a room-darkening shade that has helped quite a bit.

They are continuing to enjoy their cars, rolling them on the floor in our kitchen/dining area. B has really been eating well. He likes chicken casserole, beef stew, red beans & rice, to name a few. S, well, he's not interested in new foods. And during this illness, he has eaten even less. But we're hopful, one day he'll move beyond Gerber Graduates!
