Blueberry Pickers

More pictures from Camp Grandma! (our camera is still broken)

The boys went to my grandmother's house (where my aunt and her son live) and picked blueberries. Those bushes are at least 30+ years old, and we always look foward to fresh blueberries. Mom said the boys ate more than they put in the bag!

This week we have had Vacation Bible School at church. Ben's not real thrilled that we leave him in the nursery. Before I went with the youth group to Montreat, he was fine. But once I got back he began to have meltdowns. Of course he knows exactly what he's doing. One of the nursery workers this week is from the local Nanny Agency. She's been fantastic with Ben. In fact, last night he told me today he wanted to play with Miss Olivia!

We are supposed to go swimming this morning, over at husband's grandparents'. Let's hope it works out, because we need to burn some energy!

Funny Boys!

Two years old is such a fun and funny age. Yes, they have their moments and tantrums, but they are quite amusing most of the time.

Last the boys were riding their stick horses around, and in a few minutes Seth put his horse in the time out chair. Then he drug up his little child-size card-table-chair and put it in front of the horse. He was sitting in front of the time out chair "talking" to his horse about why horse was in time out!

Then Ben did it. I asked him if the horse was naughty, and he said yes. I asked what did horse do. Ben said: "Horse hit Grandmother." Then he said "na-ee", naughty. And then he sat in his little chair and turned to horse and said "Horse" which was followed by some gibberish that I couldn't understand.

But I did understand that they were mimicking Mommy who puts little boys in time out and then tries to explain to them what they did and why they are in time out.

Camp Grandma Report

The boys were at Camp Grandma last week. I heard they had lots of fun with the following activities:

  • drawing on the driveway

  • cooking in the McDonald's kitchen loaned by a friend

  • riding my old "Winnie" toy (who is now bald and missing an eye)

  • pulling the wagon

  • being spoiled

Away

I will be away for this week. I'm taking the youth group to a conference in the mountains. The boys are going to spend the week with my parents. Hopefully next week I can be back with updates on time at Camp Grandma/Granddaddy.

Also, my camera has died! :( So the pictures may be few and far between until a new camera can be purchased.

Have a great week!
